Anawim Housing announces appointment of three new board members and executive committee

Des Moines, IA – Anawim Housing has elected three board members to join the Board of Directors that will be led by incoming Board Chair Abbey Gilroy and Vice-Chair Michael Anthony. Abbey will be succeeding Dana Jergenson, Vice President of Commercial Banking for West Bank, who is transitioning to the Immediate Past Chair on the Anawim Housing Executive Committee.

Previously the Executive Director of the Neighborhood Development Corporation for thirteen years, Abbey brings a wealth of experience in both the non-profit and building development spheres. She is currently the Broker/Developer of Coterie Real Estate. Vice-Chair Michael Anthony’s perspective is informed by more than two decades of experience in development with Shive-Hattery, Inc. Architecture & Engineering and currently as the Director of Project Management at Opus. The Executive Committee will be completed by Krista McCalley, Project Coordinator for Insight Global, who is continuing to serve as Treasurer and Secretary, and Immediate Past Chair, Dana Jergenson. Dan Manning, Partner of Lillis O’Malley Olson Manning Pose Templeman, PLC, is rolling off the June Executive Committee after several years of service.

In addition to updates to the Executive Committee, Anawim Housing has welcomed three new board members: Jeni Cooper, Senior Vice President/Manager of Commercial Real Estate for Bankers Trust; Larry James, Attorney and Founder of Conveyance Law, PLC; and Grant Seuferer, Senior Manager for Deloitte. With their appointment during the June 2026 Annual Board Meeting, Anawim Housing has completed their 14-member governing board.

“I am excited to welcome our new board members and Executive Committee who share our dedication to providing safe and stable housing options,” says Megan Milligan, President of Anawim Housing “Our efforts to serve our neighbors are made stronger by the range of experiences our governing board brings to the table. Their expertise and compassion will guide Anawim Housing as we continue creating and maintaining sustainable solutions to the lack of affordable housing in Central Iowa.”
