To qualify for Allterra Property Solutions - Anawim Housing*, an applicant must satisfy the following MINIMUM annual income requirements:

Anawim Housing is not a subsidy program! Your rent is never based on your income!
Income MAY NOT EXCEED 60% of the Median Income for the Des Moines area and, in some instances, may not exceed 30% of Median Income. (80% of the median income -- only for town homes on 22nd and Forest)

Allterra Property Solutions keeps a Housing Inquiry List of eligible applicants for their housing. Interested applicants may mail, fax or email their application to the Allterra Property Solutions main office. The receptionist will date stamp and review each application to determine if applicant meets the basic eligibility requirements of income, rental and unit size. Each application received from fax, online, mail, or email will be sent a letter indicating whether they are eligible and placed on the housing inquiry list, or ineligible and reason for denial. The receptionist will review eligibility with walk-ins to initially determine eligibility. Each eligible applicant may be placed on both the apartment and duplex/house wait list for the appropriate size unit for which they are eligible. Eligible applicants will be called when the appropriate size unit is available. Once a unit is available that the applicant meets eligibility requirements for, the Housing Manager will contact tenant for a $25 non-refundable background check fee. Applicants will be given one opportunity to choose an available unit. If they do not follow through, they will be removed from the Housing Inquiry List and will not be able to reapply for three months from the last time they were offered housing.
Applicant's on the wait list are responsible for providing written changes regarding their income, household size, mailing address and phone number to our office staff. Applicants must meet the eligibility requirements when contacted regarding available units. Applicants are responsible to call the Housing Manager within 7 days of receiving a mailing or phone call regarding unit availability.
Allterra Property Solutions provides affordable rent- we are not subsidized housing.

All adult applicants will be required to bring in a police report if they are a resident of Iowa.
