On Friday, September 23rd, DMARC's initiative Move The Food hosted the first mobile food pantry at Baker Creek Senior apartments. Anawim Housing's Supportive Services Manager, Erin Valerio-Garsow, worked with DMARC to add Baker Creek Senior as a mobile food pantry site after being approached by a tenant who was concerned about hunger and hunger in her community. The pantry was met with many smiles and much gratitude by all who attended! We expect this effort to be a great success and are excited about our partnership with DMARC's Move The Food.
The pantry serves residents of Baker Creek Senior as well as The Crest at Baker Creek
