In May of this year, planting began again in the Anawim Housing Community Gardens at our Crest and Baker Creek Senior locations. Anawim tenants and their children came out to help us plant vegetables for their enjoyment the whole summer. Children even helped us plant a colorful flower garden!
We stopped by this past week to check on the growth! Some of the growing vegetables and herbs included: peppers, carrots, tomatoes, cilantro, and chives.
A special thanks to our Supportive Services Manager, Erin Valerio-Garsow, for organizing these gardens for our tenants.
