This holiday giving season, we're offering an exciting end of year challenge! Thanks to a friend of Anawim Housing, every donation received between October 24th - Dec. 31st will be matched - dollar for dollar - up to $100,000. We're calling it The Best Chance challenge. Help us meet the challenge, double your impact, and give people the best chance to overcome homelessness.
The people that call Anawim Housing home tell our story better than we can - they know the value and the impact of safe, affordable housing. They know that a stable home strengthens families, makes our community a more vibrant place to live, and gives each person the foundation they need to reach their full potential. Randy, an Anawim Housing tenant, has been living in Permanent Supportive Housing through Anawim for over ten years. He experienced homelessness and still remembers the day Anawim Housing staff found him in a soup kitchen line. Part of creating a home for Randy has been developing strong friendships and relationships. His words and story are the inspiration behind the name we have given to this end of year challenge.
"In the beginning, Anawim was just a shelter, a place to sleep, a room with a door," says Randy. "But it became something so much more because Anawim gave me the space, the resources, and the time I needed to create a home. They don't just give you a second or a third chance, they give you the best chance." - Randy.
All donations received and matched through The Best Chance challenge will go to support and sustain our Permanent Supportive Housing programs. You generosity will provide individuals and families in our community with The Best Chance to overcome homelessness. Our model helps break the cycle of homelessness and gives vulnerable individuals the chance to build a happy, healthy life.
This season of giving, will you help us meet our goal of $100,000 total in matched donations for Anawim Housing? This is the best chance to double your impact, and make a donation that will go TWICE as far! Together, we can provide people with The Best Chance to overcome homelessness.
